WHO WE ARE
Court18 is where top-level coaching meets real player progress. Based at Gerrards Cross Lawn Tennis Club in Buckinghamshire, we offer tailored programmes for juniors and adults of all levels - from first-timers to performance players.
Founded in 2018 by LTA-accredited coaches Alex Allen and Dan Shepherd, Court18 delivers expert training across 18 high-quality courts spanning five surfaces. With a strong focus on personal development and a vibrant schools programme, we’re proud to be a go-to coaching hub in the South East.
OUR SERVICES
JUNIOR COACHING
At Court18, we’re passionate about helping juniors develop their game and build new skills. Our Junior Development Coaching welcomes beginners aged 3-17, providing a fun and supportive environment to learn and grow with our coaches. For players aged 5-17 looking to take their game further, our Performance Coaching focuses on advancing technique, confidence, and competitive play.

My boy loves the coaching at Court18. The coaches are highly professional and know how to work with children. They have classes for a range of skills including Performance level in which they prepare the children to play competitively. 1 to 1 coaching is also highly rewarding. My boy went from a beginner to playing in Grade 3 tournaments. All activities happen at the GX Lawn Tennis Club which is beautiful with grass and artificial clay courts and a lovely cafe.

Our three kids are lucky enough to be benefitting from training with the Court18 coaching team and we have been with them for 7 years now! They each train twice a week - a combination of performance squads and private lessons and all the coaches are brilliant at knowing how to get the best out of each kid, by getting to know their individual traits, and making it fun whilst working them to hard - to the right level.

They encourage match play and tournaments and even go and support them at some of the tournaments when they are starting out on that journey. They help with their game development both tactically, technically and mentally and even have back up plans inside when it’s too wet outside such as fun quizzes about the top players’ games. We are very fortunate to have such a top rated club and team of dedicated pros offering a great coaching program, as well as excellent tennis camps over the holidays, so local to us!
